UC BROWSER launches UC DRIVE for Indian users, will get 20GB of cloud storage

UC Browser is offering 20GB of free storage for Indian users through in-app cloud storage. The company has named UC Drive. UC Browser is actually a part of Alibaba Digital Media and Entertainment Group. Pictures, songs, videos, and downgradable content can be stored on UC Drive and it also does not use the device's internal storage.


UC Drive is a unique initiative and the first launch of UC Browser in the Indian market. UC Browser can get 20 GB free online storage where they can store photos, videos, songs etc. without spending mobile data. UC Browser can use unlimited downloading and browsing to conserve its mobile storage space.

UC Drive will compete with Amazon Drive and Google Drive which comes with 5GB and 15GB of storage respectively. Users who use Drive between January 13 and 19 can find Amazon.in, Oyo and GrabOn coupons for up to Rs 50 million.

UC Browser has its first global launch and according to the firm, India is the company's largest market, accounting for 50% of global downloads. According to a recent report, UC Browser has been downloaded 1.1 billion globally.


During the announcement of UC Drive, Vice President of UCWeb Global Business Huaiyuan Yang said, "In a mobile-first market like India, all digital activities are shifting to mobile devices and users are able to watch movies, click pictures and share everything.
